They delivered on time, nice delivery guy. I got the kung pao chicken and it was pretty good, good portions and all. My girlfriend got wanton soup and fried rice. She was hankering for fried rice but admitted she was disappointed with it. I tried it myself, pretty bland. But it gets the job done. If you just want some chinese food, it's not bad and the price is right. Please don't go there for sushi come on... there are tons of proper sushi places around here. P.S. WE GOT 1 FORTUNE COOKIE. Cardinal sin for Chinese food...

Never.Go.Here!!! I ordered the Schezuan Beef and there was a roach cooked into it. I called the restaurant to tell them about it and the guy acted like he did not understand what I was saying and hung up the phone in my face. I called the delivery guy and explained it to him and he also pretended to not understand. I then threatened to have them shut down and he brought my money back, minus the tip. This is a sad disgrace for a chinese restaurant and you are putting your health at risk by eating here.

I ordered from here because I was craving Chinese food and had no other options. The girl on the phone did not take my card number so I figured the delivery guy would have a card reader. He seemed shocked that I didn't have cash but offered to read my card info over the phone. After a few try's he told me that my card didn't work which I knew wasn't true, but gave him another card anyway. This one worked so I got my food (they got the order wrong). Fast forward 24 hours to find they had charged me 4 times, twice on each card. When I called about it the girl claimed that they kept no records of their orders and promptly hung up on me. I'm writing this on my walk over there to confront the owner/manager/whoever is in charge of such a place. Don't order from here, find any other option. Anything else is better and will cost you a quarter of the price. Edit: had a friend who didn't heed my advice yesterday. Got his order wrong, came cold, and charged him twice for it. Don't order from this place, can't stress that enough.

We ordered from China Star for the last time last night. We ordered Chow Mein and Sesame Chicken. There was a roach in the Chow Mein. Also, the Chow Mein wasn't Chow Mein. It was some sort of limp cabbage with bits of meat and shrimp. We didn't order any seafood. I posted photos. Eat there at your own risk. Every restaurant has an off day, but this was... We won't be eating there anymore.

Everyone should have a Chinese place in their phonebook, and I think this one will do for me. Their lunch buffet runs about $8, and it's a lot better earlier rather than later...but hey, lunch is lunch is lunch. Next time, I'll try the lunch specials instead. (They also looked pretty rocking.) Accessibility notes: Door pushes in and there is plenty of space for mobility devices to maneuver. High buffet with food labels on top, but the table service is quick. No braille menu or signage. Potential language barrier for hard-of-hearing customers.

I used to like this place, but the food has gone downhill and DONT pay with a credit card. They must have written my number down because I was charged twice this week for different amounts even though I haven't ordered from there in months. Had to cancel my card.

Pretty much the standard menu of Americanized Chinese food. The food arrived and the portions were much smaller that what I expected for the price. Since I'm new to New Orleans I'm going to assume that this just because of the economy here. The bathroom in the facility was what earned this place a two star rating. When my buddy went to the bathroom and flushed the toilet the sewage ran up into the sink and floor drain.

I come here when in the mood to punish my body. As I gorp down my 2nd plate of questionable lo mein and grey looking sushi, I allow the feelings of shame to wash over me and studiously avoid eye contact with diners at other similar tables (other overweight men, eating alone, emitting visible waves of failure and surrender). While eating, I often think of the moving words of Fat Bastard: "I eat because I'm unhappy *weeps* and I'm unhappy because I eat. Its a vicious cycle." So thumbs up to China Star II!

Some of the worst Chinese food we have had. Ordered for delivery because of a flyer they put in our mail slot. Had several bites of each and threw the rest way. Hate to waste food but wouldn't want to give this away.

Not the best tasting chinese food at all! 30 minute delivery estimate turned into one hour and my order was wrong!! Didnt notice until the delivery guy left. Tried the shrimp and brocolli... If you dont feel like leaving out, want food delivered and craving chinese food this place will do.

Absolutely one of the worst Chinese places I have ever ordered food from. After ordering at around 1pm, I received my order at around 2:15. Don't be fooled by their Free Delivery claim on their menu, either. They charged me $1.50 for delivery. The food was lukewarm, bland, and absolutely unappetizing. Last time I will EVER order from here.

Ordered online for delivery at 8 p.m., but the driver did not call with the delivery at my house until 11 p.m. ... yep, that's 3 hours. They didn't even call at the stated delivery time to let me know they would be late. I am in the process of getting my money refunded from this hack of a business. Super Bowl or not, you should take better care of your customers. I am sooooo not impressed with these people.

My barometer for testing "Chinese" restaurants include two items: egg rolls and hot & sour soup. The egg rolls were slightly sup-par and definitely on the small side. The soup was neither hot nor sour. In fact, it had virtually no flavor at all. Already, I'm very unimpressed. I liked the fact that they also had sushi, but not much of a selection. I ordered the California roll and experienced the worst tasting rolls of all time. This area is teeming with mediocre Chinese places, and this one managed to be far and away the worst. Hey, at least the delivery guy was nice.

"Meh" is the best word to describe this place. The food wasn't great but they did deliver to the door of my apartment building. Bonus points for that. If you're looking for good Chinese food then this isn't the place. If you just want something quick, decent, and inexpensive then this place is fine.

Shame on Me. I should have read the reviews before ordering. I placed an order online at 10:49am with the ETA of 11:39am. Food didn't arrive until 11:55am. I ordered Hot and sour soup, and Mandarin Chicken with extra gravy and packets of Spicy mustard which I didn't not get. The Mandarin Chicken was horrible. The gravy was more of a soy sauce, really thin. The chicken and the egg roll were burnt. the fried rice was absolutely tasteless. And I didn't even want to open the soup container. I threw away the menu to make sure that I don't order from here. Oh and did I mention that I did not get fork, spoon or fortune cookie.

The food is mediocre along with the service. I was totally ignored for about 20 minutes after I was done eating! I had to literally get up and call the waitress. I could have walked out without paying, and no one would notice. This place seems like it'd be okay for take-out.. But do not dine in.

Not bad for an afternoon lunch at work. Nothing special in terms of taste. I ordered the sesame chicken combo with noodles and rice. Pretty much your standard fare.

I'm surprised by these reviews. I wanted something walk-able from the Intercontinental and I picked up my food, it was waiting for me when I got there (15 minutes after I ordered). Started with the chicken noodle soup, thought it was delicious then decided to Yelp them and saw the not-so-stellar feedback from others. I also got the Moo Shoo shrimp. Not bad at all. Maybe I got them on a good night, or maybe I'm just not that picky....I also haven't eaten all day so anything would probably taste good right now.

This place is right around the corner from me and they do delivery, I get it frequently. The food is consistantly good and they are fast! Prices are good but I reccomend you stick with the specials for the best deal; if you start ordering soup and egg rolls seperately you can run up your bill quickly. If you are looking for delivery these are the guys but be carefull......the eat in experience is not so great - that it why I am only giving them 4 stars. Late night drunk trip and you are ok but don't bring a wife or girlfriend and expect fine dining, the inside is dumpy. If you want awesome dine in check out Hoshun around the corner on St. Charles.

This place used to be ok, but the last time I ordered my friend got sick from it and now this time It took them over 30 mins to get here during a not very busy time, got my order wrong, said they were going to resend the order, and almost 2 hrs later, the replacement arrived cold. I was refused a refund and was treated with rudeness. Not an experience worth your money. Don't waste your time.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
